Hi, I’m Patricia, MA, LMHC
I help women understand the patterns they have learned to rely on, make sense of what those patterns have been protecting, and create more room for something different.
Not a new and improved version of you.
Instead, more access to the parts of yourself that may have gotten quieter beneath responsibility, anxiety, caretaking, and the pressure to keep everything together.
How I work
My approach is warm, engaged, and collaborative.
I am not a therapist who sits silently and waits for you to figure everything out on your own. I will ask questions, notice patterns, offer perspective, and tell you what I am seeing.
But I also do not believe therapy is about someone else becoming the authority on your life. The work is about helping you hear yourself more clearly.
Depending on what you need, our sessions may include talk therapy, EMDR, and body-based approaches.
Sometimes we will make sense of a pattern intellectually. Sometimes we will notice what happens in your body before your mind has words for it. Sometimes we will work with an experience you understand completely and yet still seem to react to as though it were happening now.
And often, we will pay close attention to relationships.
The ones you grew up in. The ones you choose now. The relationship you have with your own needs, limits, anger, uncertainty, and desire.
Because our patterns rarely exist in isolation. They tend to become most visible in relationship.
What you can expect from me
Warmth without avoiding difficult conversations.
Curiosity without judgment.
Honesty without harshness.
Attention to both what you are saying and what may be happening underneath it.
And a therapist who sees you as a whole person rather than a collection of symptoms to manage.
You do not have to become someone else to build a life that feels more like yours.
A little more personally
I’m naturally curious about people and the many ways we make sense of being human. I’m drawn to the places where psychology, relationships, the body, culture, and our individual stories overlap. Outside of the therapy room, I value depth, humor, creativity, and the kinds of conversations that make you see something a little differently than you did before. I also believe there is more to a person than the things they are working through, and I try to bring that perspective into the way I live as much as the way I practice.Request a Free 15-Minute Phone Consultation
