Sometimes you can understand something logically and still feel hijacked emotionally.

EMDR can help when your system reacts as if the past is still happening, especially when talk therapy alone hasn’t fully shifted the pattern.

I blend EMDR with grounded conversation and body-based support so the work is integrated, paced, and practical.

What EMDR can help with

EMDR may be a fit if you notice big reactions that don’t match the moment, recurring triggers, stuck memories, or patterns that feel bigger than “just stress.” Many women describe it as finally getting relief that’s deep and embodied.

Healing with EMDR:

  • Mind-Body Connection: EMDR addresses the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and physical responses.

  • Natural Processing: This therapy harnesses your brain’s natural ability to heal, helping you work through whatever is coming up in the room and real life

  • Targeted and Personalized: EMDR sessions are tailored to your unique experiences, allowing you to focus on the specific memories or patterns that hold you back or future anticipations that leave you feeling stuck.

How I integrate EMDR

EMDR works best when it’s not rushed. We’ll start by building steadiness and support, because safety in the room and between us is our first priority.

Together, we’ll decide if and when EMDR fits, and we’ll integrate it with:

  • conversation and meaning-making

  • body-based regulation and pacing

  • relational work; because patterns don’t just live in memory, they show up in relationships

The goal isn’t to relive everything. The goal is to help your system resolve what it’s still carrying so you can move forward with more freedom.

EMDR FAQs

Do we have to do EMDR?

No. It’s one option, we decide together.

Is EMDR intense?

It can be emotional, but it shouldn’t feel destabilizing. We pace it carefully and prioritize steadiness.

Can EMDR help with anxiety?

Often, yes, especially when anxiety is tied to older experiences or deeply learned patterns.
